About our Project

Due to the current situation on environmental issues in the EU it is necessary for students to learn about the reasons for today´s global warming. Nowadays we are facing risng sea levels, air pollution, extreme weather conditions an marine pollution. The Consequences can be seen in the occurrence of heavy droughts, extreme water shortages, forest fires and forest decline (extinction), harvest losses and floods. Students have to research what the causes are, what the region an the school can do and what steps they can take individually to combat climate change. Children are the future and they must realize that they can make a change as Greta Thunberg has shown us globally already. Therefor, also the teachers need to have the insight into ways and approaches to tackle climate issues. Through our project they will be trained by experts on the most up to date climate policies an will be prepared to adress a wide range of issues faced by them on a daily basis in school. By the end of the project students have gained new insights into what they can do in everyday life to face those climate issues. These new insights will be integrated into schools and lessons. Schools play an important role as role models within society. In the event of major world-changing events, it is important that schools take the lead in preparing young people for a future that will have to change radically from the present. We want to enhance our knowledge about ways how we can contribute as an educational institution even more to a better future. The international projects carried out have ensured that pupils from other cultures have learnt by working together to solve problems. We would like to use this experience in the field of intercultural cooperation to join forces in the field of climate change.
